BSH Horizon 2020 Summer School on Social Sciences and Humanities WAS HELD IN TSAGHKADZOR, Armenia.

 

In the framework of EU H2020 Black Sea Horizon project the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia conducted BSH Horizon 2020 Summer School on Social Sciences and Humanities, which was held on 10-12 July, 2017 in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia.

The main objective of the summer school was to support partnering opportunities, networking and reinforce cooperation between EU-Member/Associated Countries and non-EU Black Sea countries for joint H2020 applications and deliver extensive training on proposals preparation for potential subsequent submission to appropriate H2020 calls under Societal Challenge 6, SC6-Europe in a changing world - inclusive, innovative and reflective societies.

In total 45 participants from 14 countries (Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Portugal, Austria, Greece, France, Hungary and Poland) attended the Summer School, including 39 trainees and 6 trainers. During the Summer School qualified trainees presented to the participants the scope of the future calls under SC 6, rules of participation, legal & financial issues and beyond and provided all the necessary information, Tips & Hints for submission a successful project proposal.

The participants received hands-on training on project proposal preparation, starting from idea generation, proper consortium building up to the project submission.The training provided for the division of the trainees into 3 Working Groups according to the SC6 call topics and covered intensive group work as a result of which 3 project proposals were generated; one of them even included the project proposal budget.

All in all 11 presentations were held during the 3 days of the Summer School covering all the issues concerning the proposal preparation and submission. In general the event was a true success having considered that after the intensive training provided by professional experts it had delivered 3 eligible, submissions worth project proposals.
